Liverpool International Airport is 7 miles (11 kms) south-east of central Liverpool off the A561 (or junction 6 of the M62 or junction 12 of the M56). The airport has one terminal, with an arrivals and departures floor. It is wholly owned by Peel Airports plc, a subsidiary of Peel Holdings, a large property and transport company who also own the Manchester Ship Canal and Liverpool Docks.
There is ample airport parking at Liverpool airport, with short term and long term airport parking spaces, plus off airport parking, which is usually cheaper. There is one on airport hotel (the Marriott South Hotel, which is housed in the old airport terminal), plus a few local hotels offering an overnight stay plus free parking package.
Once inside the terminal, you will find the facilities you would expect at a small international airport. There is an airport lounge, currency exchange bureaus and a number of ATMs. There is a good range of eating options, excellent disabled facilities and there is duty free shopping.
