Passenger decline slows
01.10.09
Liverpool Airport is beginning to recover from last winter’s passenger slump with relatively healthy passenger numbers for the summer, the Echo reports. More than 1 million passengers used the airport in July and August, with the months showing 6% and 7% falls respectively compared to last year.
Even though the passengers were down on last year, this is a much stronger performance than the first three months of 2009, when the airport saw a 20% drop in flyers. Nearly 3.2m passenger used the airport between January and August.
