Heavy fog causes delays

Flights in to and out of Liverpool Airport were disrupted yesterday due to heavy fog. A number flights were cancelled, delayed or diverted to other airports during the morning and early afternoon.
The disruption affected both arrivals and departures, with passengers advised to check with their airlines before heading for the airport for the whole day. Drivers heading to and from the airport were also advised to take extra care on the M62 and the Runcorn Widnes bridge, where fog is lingering.
