Ryanair reports world cup boost - except on flights to Germany !

Ryanair says it recorded the best sales week at Liverpool Airport last week - after England’s World Cup failure, with bookings surging to all destinations – except Germany. The Irish low cost airline says week-on-week sales comparisons showed football fans quickly made plans to leave the country.
A spokesman for the airline said: ‘English football fans sent our booking system into overdrive as soon as their football team crashed out of the World Cup. Bookings were up by 30% in just one week to destinations throughout Europe – except Germany.’
