easyJet launch Innsbruck flights
09.01.08
easyJet launched a new route between Liverpool Airport and the Austrian city of Innsbruck yesterday. The new service will operate 3 times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays, with fares from £24.99 one way including taxes.
As well as being the provincial capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck is also the 'Capital of the Alps', and a gateway for snow sports enthusiasts looking to access some of Austria's most popular ski resorts. The airline expects to carry 10,000 passengers on the new route this winter.
Launching the route, easyJet commercial manager David Osbourne said: 'We have seen a huge increase in flights to ski destinations this year, reinforcing easyJet's position as the favourite airline for independent travellers, providing convenient low-cost flights from local airports.'
