Flybe mark passenger milestone

Flybe has marked a milestone at Liverpool Airport, with its 700,000th passenger travelling through the hub. Catherine Gercs from Rugby, was travelling with her friend Clare Williams from Wirral, to Belfast City before heading to the Oxegen music festival in Ireland. The Liverpool university students were were presented with a bottle of Champagne.
The regional budget airline boosted its schedule from Liverpool last October, adding the new service to Belfast City Airport, which operates three times daily. This new service was an addition to Flybe’s established Isle of Man service, which began 3 years’ ago and operates up to four return flights a day.
Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Rutter, said: ‘We are delighted to celebrate our 700,000th passenger at Liverpool Airport. We are committed to providing convenient and affordable travel options and look forward to welcoming our millionth passenger in the not too distant future!’
