Man caught with 1.5 kgs of cannabis

A passenger flying in to Liverpool Airport from Amsterdam was found with cannabis stuffed in his shoes and luggage this week, the Echo reports. Customs officers stopped Brian Martin, 26, from Blundellsands, as he passed through the airport on Sunday.
The officers found more than 1.5 kgs of the drug - with a street value of around £5,000. Mr Martin was arrested and charged with the illegal importation of cannabis. He was bailed to appear before Liverpool magistrates’ court on February 25.
