easyJet Airbus debuts at Liverpool Airport

The first of easyJet's new Airbus jet fleet made its inaugural flight from Liverpool Airport this week. Passengers on Thurday's 07:00 flight to Belfast were greeted with refreshments at the gate before they boarded the new Airbus A319.
The budget airline is switching its entire fleet from Boeing 737s, which can seat 149 passengers, to new Airbus A319 models, which can seat 156 passengers. Eventually, easyJet will replace all 8 of its aircraft at Liverpool with Airbus A319s, to serve its 18 destinations from the city.
