easyJet and airport resolve security staffing row
18.04.10
Liverpool Airport passed a security inspection by easyJet, the Echo reports, after the budget airline demanded extra security staff and equipment. It said dozens of passengers were missing flights due to security delays.
easyjet said more resources were required but the airport, which is currently building a new security area as part of a terminal upgrade, disagreed. However, the newspaper reports that airport chiefs decided to add more scanning machines and increase the level of its security personnel in an attempt to resolve the problem and row, and a recent inspection by easyJet during the morning peak showed that this was working.
