New emergency boat for Liverpool Airport

A new rescue boat designed to deal with an aircraft falling short of Liverpool Airport has been launched, the Post reports. The boat is based at the new Merseyside Fire and Rescue International Water Skills Centre, at Merseysport. It is a centre of excellence for water rescue skills for all emergency service workers and community groups could also get training.
The new boat will help meet the demands placed on the service. It was designed and built by Liverpool-based MST, is 10.5m long and jet-driven, with the ability to be used in all weathers.
