Liverpool Airport expects busiest weekend

Liverpool Airport is gearing up for its busiest weekend of the year. Around 75,000 passengers will pass through the airport during tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, with favourite destinations including Malaga, Barcelona, Palma, Alicante and Nice.
Other UK airports will have a very busy weekend too. Over the four days up to and including bank holiday Monday, 420,000 will be leaving from Heathrow, 260,000 from Gatwick, 160,000 from Stansted and 80,000 from Luton. 160,000 will fly from Manchester, 12,000 from Southampton, 70,000 from Birmingham and 50,000 from East Midlands. In Scotland 140,000 will be flying from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
