Ryanair axe Spanish route from seven UK airports
11.07.10
Seven routes Ryanair operates from the UK to San Javier airport in Spain have been axed from this winter's schedule. Flights from Birmingham, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Glasgow, Leeds, East Midlands, Luton will stop, with the only two flights to continue between San Javier and Dublin and Stansted.
A Ryanair spokesman said the flights will stop as the regional government of Murcia have been unwilling to negotiate a deal. He said the decision will mean that 120,000 fewer passengers will fly into Murcia this winter, as 76 weekly flights will not operate.
