Security blunder at Liverpool Airport
23.08.06
A boy was taken off a plane at Liverpool Airport last week, after passing through 3 checkpoints without a boarding card. An investigation is under way into how the blunder happened despite increased security at the airport.
Stunned passengers watched as the boy and his family were forced off the Ryanair flight to Kerry in Ireland and their luggage removed. Airport and airline officials admitted he should not have been allowed on the plane, but insisted there was never a threat to security.
