Meningitis scare for easyJet passengers
26.08.08
Passengers were forced to remain on board an easyJet flight for more than an hour after it landed at Liverpool airport yesterday, when a stewardess complained of feeling unwell and was rushed to hospital with suspected meningitis, the Post reports.
The flight from Geneva landed at Liverpool Airport at around 14:50 yesterday, but its passengers had to remain on board while an ambulance was called for the stewardess. At first, it was feared that she was suffering from bacterial meningitis. However, she was given the all clear from Royal Liverpool University Hospital and was not admitted for treatment. The passengers were then released from the plane.
