Eastern awards Gate handing contract

Eastern Airwayswhich will launch its first flights from Liverpool to Aberdeen and Southampton on July 6, has awarded its ground handling contract to Gate Aviation.
Gate will handle Eastern's 3 arriving flights from Aberdeen and 3 from Southampton each weekday, along with the same number of outbound departures from Liverpool to the destinations. It will be responsible for passenger check-in, customer services and gate boarding, as well as baggage handling, ramp operation and aircraft de-icing. The company handles Eastern's flights at Aberdeen, Newcastle and Isle of Man airports.
